Welcome to Postgraduate Program in Physics Teaching (PPGEnFis) at Ufes

  • Development of teaching and learning products and processes that use information and communication technologies such as computer applications, tablet media, computer simulation and modelling platform, automatic data acquisition, mobile phones and social networks

  • Development of products and approaches in physics education for elementary school students, integration with other disciplines and the development of activities articulated with non-institutional educational settings.

  • Updating of the curriculum of physics for high school by resorting to results and theories of classical and contemporary physics aiming at a proper understanding of the impact of the field in people's lives and the development of activities articulated with non-institutional educational settings.

The Postgraduate Program in Physics Teaching is based at the Center for the Exact Sciences of the Federal University of Espírito Santo. The Master’s of Professional Studies in Physics Teaching was established in 2011 as a teaching preparation and development program aimed at professionals working from elementary school teaching through higher education. It provides advanced study in curriculum, pedagogy, and physics related contents. The program covers the use of electronic media as well as technological and computational resources in physics pedagogy, aiming to increase motivation, provide information and encourage experiments involving diverse physical phenomena.

The program is based in Vitória-ES, offering the course of MSc in Physics Teaching since 2011 and has an academic qualification profile certified by CAPES, receiving 3 on its last evaluation.

The program already has 73 masters and counts with 27 students regularly enrolled, all of them being masters.
